Tom.. how about this.. You select the stage and I get the safari and you navigate.. Only condition is it should be gravel. If its rough we could be faster and if its smooth then we won't be the fastest but we won't be the slowest either. Also in the case I mentioned we weren't the fastest but not slow either.

We have the readings from the GPS of how much time we lost in the rally.
Stage 2 there were two mistakes in the tulip..
1- unmentioned road block and we lost 2min 43sec
2- wrongly indicated turn at a gate and we lost 5min 14 sec
Even the rally toppers also lost time here but not as much.. 7min 57sec
Stage 3..
Our GPS tracking was off and I guess we lost between 1.5 min to 2 min.
Stage 4..
We lost 1min 41sec due to over shooting 2 junctions
Time lost was 9min 38 sec tracked on GPS and at least 1.5 untracked.
Totally more than 11 minutes.

Apart from those two mistakes in the tulip where we lost heavily maybe due to our inexperience in the format and particularly terrain, the tulip was very elaborate and safety was given high priority with every single risk point and all pot holes and ruts marked quite accurately.

This GPS thing is super.. Moosa told me it gives the time and speed at any location that is tracked. It gives the avg speed and top speed in a stage and some other stats which provide important info to the driver and team 8)

hI Lohit ,
cheers on you very good performance ( considering that this was your first 4x4 rally).I suggest that you should start thinking of taking part in more rounds of this rally and use the recently launched Tata Xenon 4x4 for the same.It has got the same engine as the safari which inspired you to take part in the first place. It will be agood combination of indian car plus indian driver.

cheers

Xenon sounds like a good idea.
