hello everyone,

This is Nikhil from Mumbai, a newbie to the world of rallying. Have never been part of a rally either as a participator or officiating etc. Have always been fascinated by the concept though watching programs on television. Recently watched a program on the Desert Storm on Times Now and it got me thinking about getting involved and participating if possible. I dont have any rally prepared cars but as I understand there are rallies where just about any car can participate. Would the Desert Storm be appropriate for a beginner? Would appreciate if someone could provide some info on other rallies that I could participate in to get my feet wet? I am really looking forward to participating in a rally this year.

I drive a Spark and an Innova.

Regards

Welcome aboard Nikhil!

It really feels good to see one more person getting interested into the world of rallying.

To get into rallying, I would advice you first get started as a spectator. Desert Storm  is definitely not for beginners. Firstly, get to know about the kinds of rallying, like endurance rally, TSD rally,... Then meet, make friends with the people who are organizing & those who are participating in rallies. It would be better you enroll into a rally school & have on-board (in case of 4w) experience. Finally gift yourself a rally bug & get on active. At least this is the advice I got & am following for the sake of rallying (I am still a spectator;).

Those Spark & Innova would be greatly helpful to move kids & your people around , preserve them for that.

Welcome aboard Nikhil. You've already taken the right step by joining here the rest will follow.

Tantragna has got it spot on. Start specating, try TSD rallies and then auto crosses if possible.
