Guys,
The Rally School, Nanjappas Racing Foundation has started is all about cars.

There will be three courses open in the first section.
1. This is for novice drivers girls/boys. July 7th & 8th. Rs7000/-Entries close on the 1st of July.
2. This is for aspiring navigators only.July 15th.Entries close on 9th of July.
3. This is like a finishing school for drivers who have tried their hands in rallying. For this course i would like the drivers to bring along their navigators so that i could give you a few tips on dictating pace notes etc. July 21st &22nd.Rs10000/- Entries close on 16th of July.
Each course will have not more than 20 entries. This will be done on first come first serve basis. My email id is jagatonwheels@gmail.com.
The school has its own cars.
STATUTORY WARNING. No friend, tag alongs will be allowed at the school during the course

PS -- This is Jagats post .. and I've started a new thread for this . Jagat , you can follow this thread and answer queries that come along .

I also will be sending a few guys to your Rally school from up North but probably in the next round as the first one is too close for ppl to plan . Pls keep us updated on this thread about future dates , etc .

GOOD LUCK .. and I wish you can somehow tie up with Corporates so that the students you feel who have some spunk in them to make it can get help in entering the Rally scenario . :-)

Cheers

The response for the Rally School has been so so, more enquires rather than enrolment.
The plans are underway for the second session.
This is going to be on tarmac.
The dates for this is going to be announced once the first session is done with.

The first course had to be postponed because I was down with food poisoning. We had the first class rev up on the 14th & 15th. Students from Hyd, Pune,Kerala and a couple from Bangalore attended the school. This was a basic course for novices. The coming weekend we are having the advanced course. A racing school is in the pipe line as we have a new series of racing being introduced this year by MAI.

It was an awsome experience being at the school. It was the first time I drove a rally prepared car. The experience was really great.
We were given the basics of rallying first like preparation of the car, requirements of rallying, etc.
Then we were allowed to drive on a track for 2 laps where all of us failed. Though we clocked a reasonable timing we were technically wrong. Mr.Jagath tought us how to analyse a track, how to decide a racing line, how to drive in the racing line, how to understand the behaviour of the car, etc., etc.,
I was really a great & wonderful event.
