Details

Here are the details for the Torq03 Racing Karting bash:

1> Entry of Rs 350.

2> No age limit.

3> Every entry comes with 6 lap qualification round and the registration for the event.(we might even throw in some goodies like key chains, etc....).

4> Top 54 drivers qualify to the next round, which will be straight into 9 group races of 6 laps for 6 drivers each, of which the top 2 will be picked for the next round of 3 races of 8 laps for 6 drivers each, of which the top 2 will be picked for the final race.

5> The final race for 6 drivers will be a 15 lap race .

6> No limits to the number for qualifications to reach the top 50. i.e in case you don't qualify the first time around you can go ahead and re-try to qualify by just paying the basic track fee instead of the whole Rs 350.

7> Attractive Trophies and cash prizes for the first 3 drivers.

Benefits: We from Team Torq03 racing are also looking at supporting future racers from the following year on in go-karting, road racing, rallying and off-roading events.

Race Format:

Latest update: The race date has been moved forward to the 13th/14th of Aug 2010.
The fastest timing for the qualification is held by pro road/rally racer Deepak Paul Chinnappa, with a time of 27.27...!!

Looking forward to more entries as we need to achieve the 54 mark as given in the race format to make the event more competitive, and also the race dates have been postponed by a week as to accommodate more entries a give a chance to those who didn't make it through.

Where are the results?

Hi,
The finals was held on 14th Aug. The Results are as below.

1st - Deepak Paul Chinnappa
2nd - Binoy
3rd - Arjun

The finals was a 20 lap race & Deepak was leading in the first position since the lap 1..!!

Once again, thanks to all the participants for making this event a great success!!
