Also got Philips 60/55 light bulbs installed. Couldnt go in for 100/90 as the guy at the accessories shop told me that it would void my warranty as he had to put some additional wiring/etc. Not sure how much diff this makes as the original was also 60/55...

Next up, CAI, hopefully tomorrow...

hey killjoy,
Buddy, there is lot of difference between 60/55 to 100/90. I am surprised that those guys told you that warranty would be void. Well, that is not the case though. The additional wiring is done so that on a worst case if there is a short circuit, only the lighting wiring gets damaged, not the main wiring. Let me know if you need a more realible car accessory shop number.... all the best for your furture upgrade

Ive been hearing two contradicting views in the past of couple of days and wanted to put it here to see which holds more favor.

1. The engine can only sustain X amount of power. By remapping your ECM, you are spending too much to get to X whereas just the remap should actually be Y (X+Z- missing bit that you do not use since the engine cannot handle it.) If you want to get to Y then you need to do a lot more to the engine, etc....so dont waste money on a remap.

2. Most guys will only experiment with headers and are not sure what needs to be done, so dont waste your money on headers, get a nice CAI and decent sounding muffler and put the money down to get a nice remap or a piggy back system.

What say?

Hi Arjun,
We are distributing a new brand of air filters called BMC, they have an interesting CAI called DIA (Direct Intake Air System).
Mail me at anoop@racetech.co.in for more details.

Anoop.
