Was looking a Mazda's profile.. it says 'A record of 243 kmpl in mileage challenge'.. wonder what that means... :-s

he took part in a mileage event in hyderabad, he achieved this on a bike, dont remember which one though.

@Bozo, :shock: let me make sure i know this correctly.. kmpl means km per litre ? how could he do 243 km on a litre ?

Motorhead, not sure of the method that was followed but sometimes what they do is - fill exactly 100ml and see how far you can go with that and then extrapolate that figure...

Ya, that's how they do the mileage test... but then that means his bike's done 24.3 km on the 100 ml.... :| guess that's difficult but maybe possible :-s

i thought something similar...probably they missed the extra "0" in that figure.
it must be 23.* in 1000 ml.. :o
