The reason for me buying a swift in 2005 was inrc, since then the homologation hasnt been done so iv bought myself a Gypsy !!! Hope it happens next year !

Hi....i met leela sir at b'lore airport...he did say that the homologation of swift is done (Coz i particularly asked on the scene of swift for INRC 2009). Sir did confirm that the same will not perform as good as a 1400 cc esteem coz the body weight on swift is much higher than esteem (As they use the same engine).

@ leela sir- Could throw ur thought on this sir?

No doubt the weight is more ,hence makes it more stable , as far as the fastness is concerned i think it would be hardly notable ,and better stability means better maneuverability therefore the overall result will be at par with the esteem.
@Leela sir - Kindly educate us on this

@Anishpanth -"Hi....i met leela sir at b'lore airport...he did say that the homologation of swift is done (Coz i particularly asked on the scene of swift for INRC 2009)" Are u sure its for INRC ??

Come to think of it, the esteem and Swift are basically the same cars (esteem being the last gen swift -internationally) which suggests that in the long run, the current generation swift would take over ,having said that ....such a day is still far.. chiefly because, it would be introduced in the RSC class but doing that may impact the privateers at the moment (cost of vehicle ..etc the esteems are far cheaper) .More so in a place like India where the INRC takes care of all categories (no car specific/local rallies) it does make sense to let the esteems run for some years at least ..

Rally prepped swifts would be a real treat though :)
